Quality Criteria for Finished Cardboard Sheets Before Palletizing
Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) represents the final technical barrier, ensuring that all finished corrugated cartons satisfy strict requirements before shipping to B2B plants.
1. The Core OQC Audit Checklist at Tien Thanh A&E
Before any stack of corrugated boxes is strapped and wrapped, the OQC inspectors audit four critical specifications:
-
Dimensional Tolerances: Calipers and steel rules verify the flat length, width, and height. The maximum acceptable dimensional variance is capped at +/- 1mm from the master CAD files.
-
Moisture Content Checks: Portable scanners probe random spots. Moisture content must register between 7% and 9% to prevent folding creases from cracking (if too dry) or load capacity drop (if too wet).
-
Visual Aesthetics Inspection: Inspectors check for unbonded manufacturer joints, flexo/offset print smudges, laminated film bubbles, and ensure that punched slots and handholes are completely clean.
-
Mechanical Strength Validation: Structural samples undergo Edge Crush Tests (ECT) and Bursting Strength tests at our automated testing laboratory.
2. Packaging and Palletizing Safety Rules
Once approved by OQC, the flat-folded boxes are stacked onto wood pallets:
-
V-board Corner Guards: Rigid paper V-corner protectors are applied along the four vertical edges of the stack, preventing nylon strapping bands from cutting into and crushing box edges.
-
Stretch Wrapping: Heavy-duty PE film is wrapped 4 to 5 layers deep around the pallet, sealing the cargo against humidity, rain, and road dust during transport.
-
Traceability QR Labeling: Pallets are tagged with QR barcode labels indicating item numbers, quantities, production dates, and QA clearance codes.
3. Smart Factory Operational Excellence
Through standardized OQC workflows conforming to ISO 9001:2015 rules, Tien Thanh A&E maintains a 99.8% quality compliance rating, securing our status as a trusted Tier-1 supplier to Samsung and global FDI manufacturers.
